Ed Peplinski - Veterans In Packaging Inc.

Ed’s professional career started in the active duty Air Force, where he specialized in Inventory and Logistics Mgt for 8 years. He worked for various communications centers, and was responsible for the storage, inventory control, and shipment of high cost sensitive electronic parts and components. His knowledge of “doing what it takes” earned him Division Level, Senior Logistics Technician of the Year.

After exiting the active Air Force, he continued his career in the Air Force Reserves progressing from Inventory Management, into Medical Material Management, and eventually into Health Care Administration. Ed supported Operation Desert Storm by providing Medical Logistics to the Flight personnel at Westover Air Force Base .He retired with 27 years of combined service in 2004.

Ed started in commercial packaging in 1985, working in Logistics Mgt for a mfgr of corrugated, wood and foam products. He helped focus the mfging and support groups to “take care of the customer needs and expectations” Working together the team developed the industry’s best on-time delivery performance. The philosophy was simple, “packaging products ship revenue”. Ed carried this approach into Technical Sales and strives to ensure the customer has the right product, on time, at a fair price. With 20 years in the industry, his technical knowledge and dedication are what customers can depend on.

Ed started his Veteran-owned company, Veteran’s In Packaging (VIP) Inc., based upon a simple concept. No single manufacturing source is the best fit for all of a company’s packaging needs. However, one knowledgeable packaging partner with a key network of manufacturing sources, and the combined buying power of multiple, small and large business partners can give customers optimal results.

VIP Inc is achieving this goal by developing key partnerships with various manufacturers, and forming strategic alliances with the other businesses in the Preferred Packaging Group (PPA). Like all members of PPA, Veterans in Packaging Inc is a small business recognized by the Small Business Administration.
